“We are absolutely delighted with our extension. Mike Wellfare was honest and straight forward to deal with and was very accommodating when we made a few last minute changes as the build progressed. Everything was completed as promised, at the price agreed and on schedule in fact our new extension was finished a week ahead of plan.

“Mick Wellfare and his son Ben stared our loft conversion in the middle of October 2007. They were chosen from three tendering companies, as much on their attitude, personality, as the quotation. They made you feel comfortable and at ease right from the beginning. They used reliable and friendly tradesmen to carry out the electrical, plumbing, plastering and carpentry work and despite the obvious disruption and mess they cleared away at the end of each day to a high standard. The job was scheduled to take around 12 weeks and it was finished on schedule and on budget. We'd have no hesitations in hiring them again in the future.”

“Michael Wellfare and his son Ben with the help of the appropriate skilled tradesmen carried out in 2009 an extension on my Edwardian property which included removal of a complete chimney stack, provision of a new bathroom and the fitting of a kitchen. This was carried out to an extremely high standard with Michael ensuring all the tradesmen delivered to the same high standard. This is the second extension Michael has carried out for me, the previous extension was a 250 year old country cottage and everyone who saw it commented on the quality of the work and the sympathetic integration of the extension. In short, Michael is an excellent tradesman who delivers a quality job on time and within budget and i would most certainly recommend him.”

“We have known Michael since January 2003 when he was recommended to us by our architect who designed an extension to our home affecting the East and West wings costing over £100,000. We found that he was punctual, very reliable and took pride in his work. We also trusted him to carry out the work even when we were not there. The tradesman, who assisted him were also very good as had a new kitchen designed and fitted which encompassed a range cooker and multi-fuel burner to the other side sharing the new chimney breast. He was also able to expedite a lot of refurbishment to old style cupboards and the carpentry was of a high spec including where cosmetic makeover was required to blend the old with the new. By the time he and his team had finished our '60s bungalow it was unrecognisable as they have given it a fantastic face lift both inside and out.

We found Mr Wellfare very courteous and extremely helpful in assisting us our ideas whilst all the time considering and achieving attention to detail. I recall drawing a small plan for the inglenook fireplace in the new lounge to which he was able to build and complete it really well. Another area which needed some bespoke units built was above the cooker of which his carpenter did a brilliant job after i had shown him a picture of an Aga brochure. He managed to accomplish the look exactly.

Mr Wellfare's work was of a high quality, we had hesitation in engaging him to return to build a summer house/office in our garden in May 2010. We decided that we wanted it to be low maintenance with UPVC windows and french doors plus a shower room/toilet. Mr Wellfare sourced the coloured cladding and we chose the shade. The design looks similar to New England style and can be wiped clean. Again on this occasion both he and his workforce did a superb job including the double glazing and decoration inside. His work on our house has drawn admiration from visitors.”
